Toowong
If you would like a short commute to the venue, we recommend you stay in Toowong at the Jephson Hotel. Toowong offers a quieter and more residential alternative while still providing excellent access to the city.
Brisbane CBD
The most convenient base for travellers who want to be close to the city's shopping, dining, entertainment, and business precincts. There are many accommodation options in the CBD.
South Bank
The cultural hub of Brisbane, South Bank is a popular area for visitors. Located just across the river from the city centre, South Bank is home to scenic walking paths, weekend markets, and major attractions such as QPAC, the Queensland Museum, and the Gallery of Modern Art. There are many accommodation options in South Bank.
TRANSPORT
Public Transport is the easiest option for getting to and from UQ St Lucia as well as around Brisbane. Brisbane's Public Transport system is called Translink. Trains, buses, and the CityCat (ferry) all cost AUD $0.50 per trip and you use a debit or credit card to pay by tapping it against the card reader when you enter and exit the transport. You can plan your journey using Google Maps or the Translink App.
To get to and from the airport you can either use the Airtrain (AUD $23.3 one way) or an Uber or a Taxi. There is a Taxi rank outside the airport where you can grab a ride, it will cost somewhere around AUD $55-80 for an Uber or Taxi.
